we're in need of rescue. Well, today we're going to look in Genesis chapter 12 versus one through

three at God's rescue plan for the world. We're going to get into that in just a moment. This is

Lord God, as we get into the story of Abram or Abraham, we ask you to show us your heart expressed in the words we read. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

Okay, Genesis 12, 1 through 3. It says, now the Lord said to Abram, go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great

nation, and I will bless you and make your name great so that you will be a blessing. I will bless

those who bless you, and him who dishonors you, I will curse, and in you, all the families of the earth

shall be blessed.

All right.

Now, we have a situation here where God has been dealing with sin as it's been coming along,

and the earth and humanity have become evil progressively as time goes on.

Well, God here in Genesis chapter 12 steps in with a rescue plan. Now, let's be very clear. This was not plan B. This is plan A. God's planned this from the beginning of time.
