Hey, welcome back to the morning mindset. I welcome you. I'm thankful that you're here.

And I want to thank you for taking the time to get yourself ready for the day by aligning your mind with the

truth of God. And why would I thank you? It's because you're my brother, you're my

sister in Jesus Christ if you've placed your faith in Jesus Christ and we are all part of one body.

The efforts all of us make to strengthen our own faith affects the rest of us.

It will start naturally with those around you, but it spreads in the entire body gain strength from

what each of us do.

So thank you for doing that this morning.

We have tiptoed into the book of 1st Peter. We're in the first chapter looking at

Peter's comments about what God has done to make us believers in Jesus Christ

and how he's done it and the results of it. Now we just

began yesterday looking at verse number three where he says that God himself has

caused us to be born again into a living hope.

So if you want to know why you can have hope in life, go back to yesterday's episode and

listen to that.

And in verse four, he gives us another item, another thing that God has done for us.

He has caused us to be born again to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading kept in heaven for us.

Now let's pause there and make sure we know what we're talking about here.

We get the concept of an inheritance.

That is something we understand in our culture just like Peter would have in his culture.

You see an inheritance is something you receive

from someone else.
