I adore you with profound reverence.

I ask your pardon for my sins and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful.

my guardian angel, and deceitful.

Well, we put ourselves in the presence of our Lord,

and we are going to bring to our reflection, to our conversation with Jesus, a topic

that we all have a wholly vested interest in.

And maybe naturally speaking if I said, well, this is a meditation on mortification, on self-denial,

and my gut feeling tells me you'd be less excited, okay?

Or this is a meditation on bearing humiliations.

All right. Well, do I have a vested interest, I guess at some point? on bearing humiliations.

Well, do I have a vested interest, I guess, at some level,

but again, less excited.

But all of us have a vested interest in knowing how to experience that God loves us.

I think we all want that.
