mind aligned with the truth of God's work. Way to go. I'm glad you're here. We're going to be looking

up Mark chapter 14 versus 17 through 21. So get out your Bibles. You have a morning my set journal.

at a very confusing and complicated issue. That's because we're going to be looking at a very confusing and complicated issue. That's because we're

going to be looking into some things that illustrate for us the very depths of the wisdom and

knowledge of God. So hold under your hats, buckle your seatbelt. Here we go. Lord, God, give us

insight today. Teach us what you want us to know and give us the faith that we need to believe what we need to believe. In your name we pray. Amen. Okay, Mark chapter 14, verses 17 through 21. Read this way. And when it was evening, he came with the twelve, and as they were reclining at table

and eating, Jesus said, truly I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me.

They began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one after another, is it I? He said to them, it is one of the

twelve, one who is dipping bread into the dish with me, for the son of man goes as it is

written of him. But woe to that man by whom the son of man is betrayed. It would have been better for that man if he

had not been born. And friends, this is obviously a very painful passage when we think about it,

because Jesus is here in the room with his 12 confronting Judas Iscariot. The one we saw just a few episodes ago was plotting to

betray Jesus. And Jesus is confronting him in front of all his friends, in front of all the other

disciples. He's not calling him out by name, but he is making it known. I know what you've been up to.

Now beyond that, we need to look a little more deeply.

You see, because these other disciples, the other 11, they are very concerned about themselves.
