So I want to share with you this morning on a topic called the God of the Valleys and the Mountaintops.

Each one of us, we go through life and we have our life experiences where we have the good

times and we have the bad times.

We have the mountaintop experiences and we have the valley time experiences.

And many people have this misconception that if I do better in life, the better choices

that I make, I can avoid the valley time experiences. I just want to break it down to you.

It's not possible. Okay. So it's going to be a little pessimist in the beginning,

but I'll get to the good

part a little closer to the end. Not that I'm a negative person, but many times if you prepare

yourself for something that's about to happen, you're not in shock and you're not in fear

and you're not at dismay when you enter that season, right? So if you know that something's

going to hurt and when it hurts, you're like, okay, I expected it, right? So if you know that something's going to hurt and when it hurts,

you're like, okay, I expected it, right? But if you expect always sunshine and flowers and all

these things, and all of a sudden a valley experience comes into your life, you might turn to

blame God or you will look within yourself, they're saying, I've done something

wrong, God has that fault, or this or that. There's an old proverb that says that all signs shine

and no rain makes a desert. And you don't want to be in a desert. Why? Because nothing is alive

in a desert, correct?

So God on purpose, not that he shelters us, but he allows us to go through the valley season of our life to show himself as powerful in our life and to teach us through those valley experiences.
