When you walk down the aisle after saying your vows, it might have been easy to

think this is going to last forever. But sadly, many couples experience

difficulty, separation, maybe even betrayal. If you're barely hanging on and

you're not sure you're going to make it, please listen in. We're here to offer

some help. I'm John Fuller, joined in the studio by my friends and focus

colleagues Greg and Aaron Smolley and Aaron, when a couple separates, there are

some stats that indicate what the chances are of them getting back together.

What do you see? There's several sets of statistics. One says that 87% of

couples end up filing for divorce and the remaining 13% reconcile after

separation. But I've also seen statistics that say out of the couples that

separate 50% of them will reconcile. So it's looking at how are we doing the

separation? If we're just separating and we're not doing anything proactively

to come back together, I'm guessing you'll be more, you know, at the 87% of

not coming back together. But there's something called the healing separation
