that's part of it, but just as I've been reading Scripture, I've been thinking a lot lately about

the word stronghold. And many times when people hear stronghold, they think of it

as in a negative sense, like when the enemy gets a foothold in someone's life. But David hit in a stronghold. I mean, try to picture maybe a cave in the side of a cliff. What is a stronghold? Literally, I've been pondering this, and I sit down to do today's show prep, and wouldn't you know that the Bible study we're talking about today is about strongholds. In fact, my guest today says it's a place of safety, fortified to protect inhabitants against attack. It's a place where people can feel secure, surrounded by high sturdy walls. It's a place to rest and be restored. I need that stronghold. It's a place to plan the way forward. Oh, my goodness, I love it. Dr. Doug Huffman joins me today, and he co-authored the interactive study, The Stronghold of the Chosen alongside Dallas and Amanda Jenkins, who've also both been on the show in the past. We're going to explore the deeper meaning of the word stronghold, and what it means for us as believers and why it's important. We'll get Dr. Hoffman on in Justamombo, a quick announcement, hey, if you're traveling this season and we're entering into a season where lots of people are traveling, we want you to take us with you. Is that rude to ask? We want to go with you. So if you haven't downloaded the Faith Radio app, do it because it's free. Go to the app store, search Faith Radio Network.

Let me tell you about my guest. We'll get him on the show. Dr. Doug Huffman serves as dean of the School of Theology and Ministry and Special Advisor to the President of the University of Northwestern St. Paul.

He has a robust publication record having authored and edited numerous books and peer-reviewed articles.

2:26.9

He has participated as the evangelical expert in the Bible roundtable discussions debriefing each episode for the Chosen, the Multiseasin TV series on the Life of Jesus. He has co-authored the Chosen Bible Study series and spoken at various events representing the show. It's so fun to us because we're connected, we're affiliated with the University, Northwestern St. Paul, across the street. So we're under this big umbrella. You've got the university on one side, the media on the other, and we're all on the same team.

2:52.0

But I love The Chosen.

2:53.5

I can't tell you how much I love it.

2:55.4

And we've had Amanda, and we've had Dallas on the show before.

2:57.7

So to have Dr. Huffman with us, who's both a faculty at our university and has played a significant role in The Chosen.
