Hey everybody. This short segment is called a go-to. It refers back to this crazy thing we used to do

at the end of our sorority meetings in college, if you can believe that. It was called for the

good of the order. And it was a way to share something that had emerged over the course of the week, which really was a bit of learning

or thinking or feeling that was to everyone's benefit to share. And so that's all we'll do here.

Every Friday, we release a go-toto and we encourage you to share it with friends

around the country. We know that people use it as a way to stay in touch with their best friends

across the country and of course far-flung family members wherever they might be. And as for your

local nearest and dearest, consider it fodder for discussion over the course

of the weekend.

This is Kelly Corrigan Wonders in our weekly segment called GoTo.

This week's Go To is a collection of very short, accessible poems that I love and have been turning to when the world, my little tiny world

that doesn't have my mom in it anymore, and the world, capital T, capital W, seemed to be going

completely sideways. This is a set of poems that I've found to be hugely useful.

The first is called This is the Time to Be Slow. It's by an Irish poet named John O'Donohue.

Of course, his name is John O'Donohue. This is the time to be slow.

Lie low to the wall until the bitter weather passes.

Try as best you can not to let the wire brush of doubt scrape from your heart all sense of yourself and your hesitant light.

If you remain generous, time will come good and you will find your feet again on fresh pastures of promise, where the air will be kind and blushed with beginning.

So this next poem is pointing in a direction that I'm often pointing to on Instagram where I'm posting all the time in my stories.

Little images or videos or sounds that have caused me to stop and notice to pay deep attention in the hopes of one of those tiny, glorious, essential waves of wonder that are really available to us all the time. So this is by Pet Schneider,
