Today is Friday, March 6, and this is your daily Go Birds morning update, giving you all the Eagles

news you need to know, as well as what, to keep an eye out for today, and a lot of big news on Thursday as we had a few

or well two big pieces of news come out in the NFL and of course we have more updates on

AJ Brown so let's get right into it as this is truly one of those pods where by the time you're

listening to it probably 50 other things have changed it's fast moving right now the NFL. But hopefully these two things I'm about to talk about have not because there are some big decisions coming for the Eagles. And I think some stuff that happened on Thursday is drastically going to impact it. So we're going to get into that first. We're going to talk Max Crosby, the DJ Moore trade, going to talk about what Adam Schaefter had to say about A.J. Brown. And on the other side of the pod, we're going to talk about some of the lower level free agents on the Eagles that we haven't really talked about, Sam, Hal, Jehan Dodson, in the chances that they can be back. So let's get right into it. So I would say the big news in the NFL on Thursday was the trade of DJ Moore,

the receiver for the Chicago Bears, to Buffalo, as it kind of set off the market for receivers.

And it was, I think, a good thing for the Eagles.

The Bills got, or should say the Bears got back a 2026 second round pick.

And, yeah, they got a 2026 second round pick and then got back more in a fifth round pick so essentially more goes for a second round pick um I think more is a fine

receiver I don't think he's a legit number one I think it's a fine trade for the bills I mean I think

they overpaid but at least they went out got Josh Allen a receiver head coach. They didn't throw the ball deep very often last year. More can be a deep threat for them. But they definitely overpaid. And if I'm Howie Roseman and I see that trade, I'm very excited about what this could mean for what he might get back for A.J. Brown. Now, that's assuming he wants to trade AJ Brown. But regardless, if I'm the Patriots now, I know it's going to take a first round pick. That or they're going to have to sign Alex Pierce, but I really think that at this point if AJ is moved, he's going to be traded for at least a first round pick. And you guys know, and you've been listening to this pod, we talked about a lot last week about some past trades that have been made that really kind

of show AJ for a first round pick is probably an overpay. You look at over the past 10 years,

the 16 receivers that have been traded and the eight that were for first round picks.

Only seven of, I mean, seven of them were younger than

AJ. So I think, you know, DJ Moore's similar age, but just not the same player, like not even

close to the same player as AJ. So if I'm the Eagles, I'm saying if DJ Moore went for a second,

I need at least a first for AJ. So if I'm the Patriots at this point, it's probably looking

like it'll take that 30 first overall pick to land AJ. Now if I'm the Patriots at this point, it's probably looking like it'll take that 31st overall

pick to land AJ. Now, what also means is this was on Thursday. Adam Schaefter was on the Pat

McAfee show, and the Eagles are continuing to do the public negotiating and doing it well. So
