Yes, we have an addition to this morning's daily pod as late night, not that late, but late enough that our sweet baby James was asleep with a nap.

The Eagles have signed a tight end.

And I don't think this is going to be their big move at tight end, but it is a depth signing at tight end as The Eagles have signed a tight end. And I don't think this is going to be their big move at

Johnny Munt, the nine-year veteran, has been in the NFL since 2017. 31 years old, has played

with three different teams, came in the NFL with the Rams. So he played under

Sean McVeigh, which is obviously the type of offense. Eagles are going to try to run. After that,

spent some time in Minnesota, where he played with new Eagles offensive line coach Chris Cooper.

And then last season, he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars. No connection there, really, to the Eagle staff.

So he's played with three different teams. Like I said, 31 years old, nine-year veteran.

I'd imagine a good chance of making the team, probably not a lock. You think about last year

when they signed a few tight ends at the beginning of free agency. Only Kyle and Grantson

ended up sticking. Harrison Bryant ended up not making the team. So

they bring in Munt, and I think it's obvious what this is for. This is a blocking tight end. Last year,

the Eagles backup tight end struggled. Grant Calcutera was not a good blocker. It hurt them when

they ran two tight end sets. Johnny Munt was arguably one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL

last year. He was the ninth best past blocking tight end blocking tight ends in the NFL last year.

He was the ninth best pass blocking tight end and he was the 14th best run blocking tight end.

So arguably 15th, a top 15 blocker among tight ends in the NFL last year has put up good blocking numbers throughout his career.

And it's really why he's been in the NFL.
