Goal birds!

What's going on, everybody, and good morning.

Today is Friday, April 24th, and this is your daily Goat Birds morning update,

giving you all the Eagles news you need to know,

as well as what to keep an eye out for today. And well, after weeks and months of speculation of

who they will take, we know the Eagles' first round pick as the Eagles trade up from number 23 overall

to go to pick number 20. They trade two fourth round picks in the process.

We'll talk about that in a minute. But the big news is the new member of the Eagles,

USC wide receiver Mackay Lemon. They go up, they take them. They go receiver in the first round.

Lemon expected to go much earlier in the draft. He did fall to the Eagles. Howie Roseman said afterwards

that they had a prediction for the first 15 picks. 14 of those players went and the one that

dropped was of course Mackay Lemon. So another year, second year in a row where the Eagles have

somebody high on their board and he falls to them. Of course, Jehad Campbell being the other one, jury out on if that's been a good pick or not, but the Eagles get a guy that many people did not think they would take.
