72 million people are expected to be on the move over the weekend, mostly on the roads. And today is

set to be the busiest day for driving. Morgan Norwood joins us now with the latest. Hi, Morgan.

Hi, Rebecca. That's right. If you are traveling today, roads or skies between the packed airports, the summer storms, and again, the packed roads as well, you could be in for a bumpy ride. We're here to walk you through it all. Let's talk about this. AAA projects more than 61 million people will be hitting the road, and that's up more than a million from last year with today being get out day, the busiest travel day ever

for the 4th of July holiday stretch. And of course with more cars comes more breakdowns and the

potential for that, right? The agency says that they responded, get this to nearly 700,000

roadside calls during last year's holiday stretch. So definitely want to make sure that your

vehicle is in good shape, up to date on

that maintenance, and that you also have that emergency kit handy. So when should you hit the road?

Let's talk best and worst times. Early morning for sure, especially if you're driving through your

major cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, D.C., Los Angeles. Leave early on the drive back as well
