And this morning today, it's all about accessories. We got shoes. We got bling. We got more. And we got no more music, but we got 50% off. Yeah. And if you wake up like you're in a fog, yep, that sounds a little familiar to all of us. Well, you could be experiencing something called sleep inertia. Dr. Daryan Sutton is here to explain what that is and how we can start the day feeling a bit more alert. I think we would all like that. Yes, please. Okay, but how about we start with Hurricane Aaron, which is stirring up the surf along the east coast. It's making its way north and then eventually northeast. North Carolina is kind of ground zero for this. We've been talking about it for more than a week. And our Victor Okendo has been there on the Outer Banks. Victor, I know messaging this until today when it was sunny was difficult, but it's starting to change. That's right, Ginger. And right now the wind, the surf, it's all starting to pick up and we only expect that to intensify. You see those double red flags behind me. They are going up and down the beach here in Nagset and really throughout the Outer Banks. All day we have seen people come out onto the beach they want to take a look at the waves. No one should be in the water right now regardless of your experience level. But I spoke with the lifeguard here who told me he's even concerned about for those people who just come out to stand on the beach.

1:30.3

He's worried that a big enough wave can come up on shore, knock someone down and sweep them out to see anyone who comes out to the coast for the next few days needs to be very careful.

Ginger.

1:41.3

Victor, that's for people in the water, but also this goes beyond that.

1:45.3

We've been talking from Virginia Beach, up through New Jersey, Long Island coastal flood

alerts, but right where you are, the impassable road situation is not just likely, but

1:54.8

like they're really concerned about it, right?

1:57.7

Right.

I've spoken with officials throughout the Outer Banks and they all tell me they fully expect the roads to flood, especially Highway 12. That is the main way in and out of Cape Hatteras and really it's the main artery here in the outer banks. So the county manager who I spoke with told me that he believes that the majority of visitors have actually left those

mandatory evacuation areas. But like with any storm, there are residents who want to ride it out

2:23.3

at home. And that county manager told me his message to them is they should know that they

2:27.8

could be stuck for a few days. And if anyone were to need medical attention, EMS might not be able

2:33.8

to reach them.

2:34.9

Everyone should have a plan in place at this point.

2:37.6

Ginger.

2:38.5

Thank you so much.
