All that. But we start with the 4th of July travel rush. A record number of people

are expected to be on the move over the holiday weekend with nearly six million expected to fly.

Transportation correspondent Geo Benitez is inside the United Command Center at Newark Airport.

Geo, so official, take us. You know what, Rebecca, it has been so, so busy here all day long.

Just take a look. So this is the United Counter here, and we're talking about more than half a million passengers through United this week alone.

Today here at Newark, it's about 55,000 United Passengers. And again, that's just one airline.

So we're talking about a lot of people. But obviously, you were mentioning that weather and take a look

at this because it was a rough start to this holiday travel week. In the Northeast, yesterday,

thunderstorms caused ground stops until late last night in the New York area. And that had ripple

effects, of course, all across this country.

Hundreds of flights delayed and canceled. Things are getting a little bit better right now, but we

still have to watch that forecast because that's what could cause a mess. So pay close attention

to that. Remember, have that app downloaded on your phone for whatever airline you're using.

AAA projects that an all-time record of 72.2 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home for the 4th of July.

That's almost 2 million more than last year.
