Reid, acquitted on murder and manslaughter charges in the death of her Boston police officer

boyfriend John O'Keefe and Chief National Correspondent Matt Gutman has the latest. Matt, hello to you.

Hey Will, there was a moment yesterday in that courthouse when the judge announced that the jury had reached a verdict.

They had started to approach her with the verdict and then pulled it back.

And she said that was basically unprecedented.

And the hundreds and hundreds of Karen Reed supporters out here in the street up against the barades, in the alleyways, collectively held their breath.

And then a few minutes later, there was this announcement, not guilty on all the major offenses,

and there was a huge eruption from the crowd here.

The defendant, not guilty or guilty.

So say you, Mr. Foreman?

Those words triggering a roar from Karen Reid's supporters so loud it poured through the courthouse walls.

A jury acquitting her of second-degree murder, of manslaughter, and of fleeing the scene in the death of her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O'Keefe.

But the jury finding her guilty for driving under the influence, the sentence,

a year of probation.

Reed then emerging from the courthouse.
