This weekend at American University, one of the best local events of the year, the WCAC, both boys and girls tournament.

The semi-the-quarterfinals are tomorrow all day with the boys playing at 1, 245, 430, and 615, number 1, Paul the 6th, who finished undefeated in the WCAC this year

and is the number one team in the country per max preps right now. We'll play McNamara,

the 8-seed. And then semifinal day is Sunday at AU with the boys starting at

430, finishing up with the second semifinal game at 615. Always fun to witness the best

basketball conference high school-wise, not just in our area, but really top to bottom in the country.

Joining us right now is the head coach of Paul the 6th, Glenn Ferello.

He's been there.

As many of you know, now since 2007 has accumulated one of the most incredible records.

We've seen in the history of high school basketball in this town, and I don't know. I mean, you've had some unbelievable teams. Is this your best team? You know, Kevin, first of all, it's great to join you, and then talk to them. Great to have you. Yeah, and WCAC basketball. And for tomorrow, just to make sure all your listeners know, the quarterfinal games are held at Gallaudet. At Gallaudet. For the boys. Yeah. Yep. No, it's all good. And the girls are at Gonzaga and everyone together on Saturday and Sunday and Monday over at AU. Sunday and Monday at AU. Yeah. So as far as our team goes, I mean, it'd be unfair to say that how his team ranks with all the other great teams that we've had in the past.

It certainly ranks up there.

And, of course, their story's not finished.

And they have some work to do to get to the level that some of the other teams have in the past.

But certainly, I love his group.

And I'm really proud of the work they put in and the way they've represented our school and all of the former players and teams.

They have a lot to live up to in the legacy and the history of what we do, and they take it seriously.

And then they, of course, get a little pressure from the alum, if you will.

Do you keep track as to how many players you'll likely have playing in March Madness

in the NCAA tournament? Oh, man, in March Madness, the guys are going to actually be there.

A lot of work to be done there too, but we got a lot of coaches and former coaches and former players.
