called The Forgotten First, Kenny Washington, Woody Strode, Marilyn Motley, Bill Willis, and the

breaking of the NFL color barrier. I'm so excited about this interview because the book is

fascinating. Bob is a great talker. He's been covering the NFL since 1985.

Maybe I'll ask him a little bit about that.

It's going to be terrific.

So Bob, people are familiar with Kishon Johnson.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Well, I am an old football writer, having started in 1985.

That was my first year covering football.

It was a great time to cover in New York, and I covered the Giants for Gannett, Westchester

newspapers back then.

And so it's, you know, LP is there, Bill Parcells is there.

He's just coming into his own Phil Sims.

You know, the rules of engagement for writers are very loose.
