Today's story is from Marilyn. Marilyn jokes that raising four boys looked a lot like living in a

fraternity house at times, as I can imagine.

And she was often on her knees in prayer.

Her children are now grown with children of their own, but she's able to look back and share a unique perspective on parenting.

Yes, times change, and the culture has changed.

But there are some truths and principles that Marilyn shares,

which are relevant even today.

In my opinion, we can always learn from those who've gone before us.

Here's Marilyn.

Okay, my girls that are here will be glad to see that I did bring notes.

They were so worried I could tell in their voice.

They were like, you're like, not writing anything down?

No. So I wrote it down.

So I didn't know this was this big a deal, really. I thought, you know, it'd be me a couple people.

I mean, y'all don't bother me because a lot of you, I've known my whole life, and you know most of the

stories I will tell, and you could probably tell me more, actually. But last night at the ballpark, one of the dads on our team who has six children, cutest children would ever see in your life. Anyway, he comes over and goes, like, you're the keynote speaker. I went, keynote, no, no keynote. No, no keynote. No, I'm just going to tell about my kids and how crazy they were, and that's all I'm going to do.

So he was coming, but he's not here because I told him no men were allowed.
