Welcome back to the Lantern Rouge Cycling Podcast, the unfamiliar nostalgic feel of me recording after watching a European race in the middle of the night.

This was Giro de la Milia, not a stage one. It's a one day race around Belonya finishing on the San Luca climb.

It's actually a really attractive race. They do two longer climbs earlier, but there's never anything that really happens there.

200k is a total. The main part of the race is five reps of the San Luca climb, which is 2k at 10%.

They've used it in the Giro a couple of times. It was I think the climb that Rogwich and Campernarts,

they had Giro de la Milia had a time trial on it, and last year, Rogwich just went nuclear on this.

Al Maider and Avonapole were attacking him. Great race. The only problem is the rights have been with Rai for like a number of years,

and they don't broadcast outside of Italy. We'll talk about that maybe. Actually, no, I won't talk about it. I'm sick of talking about it.

It's just a joke because the start list is ridiculous to not have this broadcast overseas.

I don't know if I've got you here, Martinez, Adam Yates, Simon Yates, Enrich Mass, David Godou.

This goes on and on, but UAE were probably the strongest overall team with Michael Hirschi, Ulyse Pog,

former low, ridiculous team. It's a tune up for Lombardy, but Rogwich won. When Lombardy are last year,

what did you think UAE tactics would have been going into the race with Ulyse and Pog? Do you think just smash for Pog?

I think smash for Pog. I think Pogarcher is still on the standard of a leader in races like this as well.

And we saw them really classified at the second we went towards the San Luca Climes.

Well, in this race, we know that they've got a strong team. You mentioned it.

They've got a strong team with riders that on paper two years ago.
