All right. Welcome back. It's the Big Blue Banter, New York Giants Football Podcast.

I'm Dan Schneier. Join is always my host, and I don't know if I've ever had a sadder intro to this podcast since the first day I recorded this podcast with an idea and a dream and a hope to talk about the New York Giants as a team that can get us excited, can provide us the joy of what it's like to have your football team be a good team that's

exciting and wins football games and gives you hope of fun playoff memories with your family,

with your friends, watching the team.

Things we've all experienced as a fan are not all of us, but most of us who listen to this

podcast, some in 2011, 2007, some all the way back, 9086. Some people,

you know, like, have been watching this team for even longer than we can, we can even fathom,

Nick. We hear about it all the time. Lisa, I get some DMs from older fans and shout out to you

guys. But I don't know how this is a lower rock bottom for me since my fanhood, Nick, because

you could compare it to last year, but it's not remotely the same. Last year, their expectations, they had won a playoff game. It could reason with myself and look at it, you know, rose-colored glasses, Nick, and say, okay, well, it's one game. They still have a good team. They made improvements in the offseason. They can have a season. This year, it's harder to get yourself to that side of things, despite the improvements they've made on the roster because of one reason at this point. But, you know, this is where we're at as a fan base.

It's crazy, Nick, that we've had back-to-back week ones like this, though. I just don't know. You know, I don't know what it's like to be another fan of another team at this point. So maybe it's bad for other teams as well. But I don't know, man, where do you want to start? It's just, it's rough. to start, I mean, what did the Giants do well in this game?

You know, it's unfortunate. We saw the defense come up with that fumble early on. Nice play by Drew Phillips,

had that sack by Dex Lawrence. It seemed like that was the only pressure. The New York Giants ended up
