This is the Big Blue Banser. New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier, joined as always my co-ist Nick Palado. And today we are here to break down the Giants' defense in the all-22 film. But before we get into any of that, we obviously have to address the elephant in the room. And that's DeMar Hamlin and his family. Obviously, for those of you who are listening to the show, you're likely NFL fans. You were likely watching the game last night. Heartbreaking moment. We juggled Nick and I back and forth if we should even do this show today. We both felt like it was still the right thing to do. We don't know if that's insensitive. If it is, we do apologize for that.

We are not trying to be that. We just felt like we have information. We want to get out there. We have filmed. We already broke down. So it was, it was enough time maybe. It's all unprecedented right now. We don't really know what to do. And I work for CBS sports. Some of you might know that on the fantasy football side. There's a lot of discussions going on from that standpoint as well.

So it's all of this is like so minuscule anyway in the in the grand scheme of things. The most important thing is Hamlin, his health, his family. I watched so many heartbreaking videos last night. This dude lost his father at 12 and it became the man at a house. And like just I saw a video of him talking about that. He's obviously done a lot of things in the community to help out there as well stayed back home was a four-star recruit getting recruited from like bama and george and stuff stayed back to play for pit so he wanted to be close to home and his brother and his mom so we'll see what happens on all of that but i don't Nick, if you had any thoughts on that before we get into the giant stuff.

No, just best wishes to DeMar Hamlin and his family.

I believe it's a foundation that he started to help his mother's community toy drive. So great cause and everything like that for the for the general Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania area.

Right now there is over four million dollars that have been raised since the injury, which

speaks to the football community. And I just hope that the kid is okay and he can get up and

play football once again or just be able to walk. I know back in hockey, I think somebody put this up and I saw it. I can't remember exactly. It was a Hall of Fame hockey player. A similar thing happened to him and he was able to return to the ice, which is great. But at this point, we just hope that DeMarne Hamlin is okay and he's going to be healthy. Yep, but let's talk about the Giants

defense on film today against the Colts. So it was an interesting game, Nick. I said it to you before the podcast. It has to be probably the most boring film we've had. And that's just to be, you know, that's probably not the best sell. But I think people who come here anywhere trying to hear the act as a nose and the in-depth stuff of it anyways.

2:31.9

They're not worried about.
