The good news is I have an old computer that we can record from. The bad news is my new computer requires a separate thing to hook up into the mixer to get the micke going. So I am no mic again. Sound is awful. The last one I hope. I hope this thing is arriving from Amazon tomorrow. But the good news is you don't have to have me like holding the phone shaking like a Magruder film. What are those things?

0:38.0

Macruder, is that the word? Gruder films. What are the... Did you talk about the subruder film? Subruda film? Like the subruda film? That's not like a... That was his last name, the guy who shot. The guy who captured the video of JFK getting his head blown off. So it's not going to be like subruda film where it's like

shaking around and stuff. But the sound does suck. But we're going to move forward. It's a day one

1:00.2

recap of Giants Free Agency. Not completely uneventful. Yeah, recap. Not completely uneventful.

But Nick and I were kind of deciding when we wanted to get going and record this with kind of the looming nature of what Giants' frequency is right now on day one, 615. We're recording this, PM, Sun's about to go down, no quarterback. And we're just waiting and waiting for some news on that front. And then we're like, all right, let's just call it because I don't think it's going to happen today. And if it does, maybe it'll happen when we record and we'll react from there. But as of now, in free agency, the Giants have signed two players, Nick. Paulson and Debo, is that how you pronounce his last name? I say Adibo, but I'm not really 100% certain. Okay, Adibo. And he's a cornerback who had played with the Saints, 26 years old, if not mistaken. And then Roy Robertson Harris, a veteran interior defensive tackle, not quite 30. I think he's 29. That was a 21. 31. Wow, he is on the wrong side of 30. Okay. That was a two-year $10 million deal, according to Mike Garifolo. And the Pulse anddebo deal, Nick, was originally reported as three years, $30 million, but not close to that. It ended up being three years, $54 million, $18 million AAB for Paulson and Debo. It's a big swing for the New York Giants. And by the way, about what they would have had to pay Xavier McKinney last year, I think it's almost the same. So they opted for Adebo over McKinney, the devil coming off an injury as well. I believe, was it a fibula that he broke? A broken femur. So boomer. Yeah, femur. Yeah. But I don't know if you saw the workout video floating around. He looks quite healthy. He's doing back.

2:34.8

Yeah. I mean, they're not going to give him $54 million with 18AAV if he wasn't fully recovered. But those are the two moves, Nick. We can start with reaction that. And then on the spot, we're also going to get to the quarterback situation in stands. Because although the Giants haven't signed anyone to play quarterback for this football team, other teams have. and that takes people off the market.

2:31.3

So let's start here with the players they did sign.

2:34.1

Start with the players they did sign start with

2:54.6

the big one here adabo yeah paulson adobe i'm gonna go through just some cutups that i've made of him

3:00.3

and there should be a video hitting the streams of youtube if everybody wants to go check it out

3:05.1

i'll probably post that sometime tomorrow once i touch it up and finish it up. I like this signing just because he is a 25-year-old, 6-1-190 pound sticky man coverage cornerback who is a ball hawk. And I think the giants need people who can create turnovers. This is one of the reasons how or why. I don't want to say we talked ourselves into Tyler Nubin, but why Tyler Nubin really made sense. He led the University of Minnesota and broke their records, right? Like he had, I think, what, 13 or 14 interceptions in college? That set the record. He was a takeaway master. Adibo was similar to that. He knows how to get his hands on these balls, pause. But when you watch him in man coverage, you see it.

3:42.1

And when you see him in off coverage, when you see him be able to process these routes,

3:46.1

he also has it from an off leverage, which makes sense with Shane Bowen because he's going

3:50.8

to have the Giants not necessarily pressed up like Wink Martindale always did.

3:55.0

So I get it from that standpoint.

3:56.4

You don't really find many talented 25-year-olds at cornerback who hit the open market. With that said, 18 million a year, is it a lot for a guy like Paulson-A-Dibbo? I don't think it's insane, right? It's around market value. He's getting paid the same as Jalen Johnson, who I think got paid either last offseason or the season

4:14.2

before that. It's slightly less, about a million less Paul Sondido, what he's making over Jalen Johnson,

4:19.7

which put him at about, I think, the 13th or 14th highest paid cornerback in the national football

4:24.8

league. We understand how these things go, though, when it's your time to get paid and if your

4:30.7

market isn't necessary, or if a team isn't in a
