I hate folks, thanks for joining us for this special edition of the Giant Bomb

Cat's Special Mass Effect 2 BioWare Edition. We are joined here in the house by BioWare's own

Casey Hudson, Casey how you doing, sir? I'm great. Fantastic. Thanks for making some time.

Your game's shipping pretty darn soon. How are you feeling now? I feel great. I think I think we're

0:46.2

really happy with what we made in Mass Effect 2. We're getting some really feedback. It's fantastic,

0:51.1

really better than we could have hoped. So we got it out on time and I think it's exactly the

0:56.8

game we wanted to make. What's your post Mass Effect 2 life like? Because I have to imagine that

1:02.4

this thing has been consuming you pretty thoroughly for a while now. Well, what we used to do is we used

1:09.2

to be able to finish a game, put it in the box and then go on holidays, right? But it's a different

1:13.6

world now. Even though we're not a multiplayer game, it still has a lot of online connectivity. We've

1:20.0

got a lot of DLC coming out and that's already being made and then things like Cerberus Network,

1:27.4

which is a channel for a whole bunch of free content and a lot of connectivity again through

1:33.9

online stuff. So we have to be around during the launch and then on an ongoing basis to make

1:39.4

sure that the DLC launch is really well. Well, you guys have been obviously with Dragon Age

1:44.8

Origins kind of on the forefront with the DLC stuff. The first Mass Effect 2 was also,

1:51.3

I'm sorry, the first Mass Effect as well. A lot of early DLC was that something very early on

1:58.8

with Mass Effect 2 that you guys wanted to plan on doing. With Dragon Age, there's a full on

2:05.6

proper old school in a box, the original disk expansion coming. Is that kind of indicative of

2:13.1

the Bioware philosophy about post-game support at this point? Yeah, I mean with Mass Effect 1,

2:18.4

obviously there's a lot more that we would have wanted to do in terms of the quality and quantity

2:24.8

of the DLC we were able to make. There were technical reasons for that and just personnel ban with

2:29.8

reasons. We just, the content, it's really, really hard to make Mass Effect content. That's one of

...
