In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio with a very special guest, new USC defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn. Back on December 1 Trojan head coach Lincoln Riley made the hire of Lynn official, bringing over the former NFL assistant coach from UCLA where he turned around the Bruins defense in his first season as DC. Ryan and Connor talk to Lynn about his first three months on the job including his time out on the recruiting trail, how the off-season workouts have progressed, some of the players that have stood out to Lynn so far, how spring ball preparations have gone and lots more.
Speaking of new assistant coaches, after the departure of running backs coach Kiel McDonald to the Los Angeles Chargers, Riley made his move, nabbing TCU RB coach Anthony Jones Jr., bringing his impressive resume to Troy.
The guys also discuss the new college football rules for 2024 including in-helmet communication, tablets on the sidelines and an NFL-like two-minute warning for the second and fourth quarters of games.
