Before watching To Walk Invisible, the feature length drama written by the Uber talented Sally

Wainwright, you might not have known the Brante sister's story, even though you

probably did know their names, or at least the names of the novels they've

written. There was Charlotte, the eldest sister, who wrote Jane the fell hall. And then there was Emily, the bashful yet mighty middle sister who

wrote Wuthering Heights. It won't hit you. And if he hits me I'll hit him back harder.

I think she's got this kind of volatility to her that is very exciting to play and it's very exciting to play a woman in period drama who does not care what people think.

It's true that the Brantes were a force to be reckoned with, three sisters, daughters of a poor curate,

each wrote literary masterpieces at a time when women were not permitted to have any ambitions

outside of the home.

They were a phenomenon, collectively and individually. All three were

extremely gifted, intelligent, and unique. These are three sisters who, against all odds,

managed to get published.

Today actor Chloe Piri, who stars as Emily Bronte, joins us to look back at the time she spent

playing one of the world's most well-known and beloved wordsmiths.
