In what felt like deja vu for Democrats, their female candidate, emerged the day after to concede election

defeat to former and now future President Donald Trump.

Earlier today, I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory.

I also told him that we will help him and his team with their transition,

and that we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power.

As Vice President Harris acknowledged a stinging defeat

to a visibly distraught crowd of supporters at her alma mater,

many of them young people, she stirred up a rallying cry.

While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign.
