Summary

Tonight’s guest, Kaitlin Wise, was born in California, but moved to Idaho when her family moved there, when she was a child. Her father loved the outdoors and exposed Kaitlin to the outdoors at every opportunity, from a very early age.

About 8 years ago, Kaitlin had her 1st Bigfoot-related experience, while on a hunting trip with her husband and 1 of their friends. Before that day, she never put much thought into the existence of Sasquatch. When a Sasquatch walks right up to you, though, it’s pretty difficult to ignore, and that’s what happened that day. You see, the day that experience happened, Kaitlin, her husband, and their friend had driven to a big forest that’s on the foothills of a nearby mountain range. After getting to that forest, they hiked into the forest and when they came to a huge berry patch, they noticed several tunnels that lead through it. Kaitlin and her husband decided to hide in 1 of the tunnels while their friend headed to a nearby clearing, where he planned to hunt. At 1st, Kaitlin thought that she and her husband were alone. It wasn’t long before it was made clear to her that they weren’t alone. And it wasn’t because their friend had returned, either.

0:00.0	Hi, my name is Caitlin Wise. I live in Idaho. I was born in California, but my dad moved
0:08.9	us here when I was a small child. And I've grown up here in Idaho ever since. My dad was
0:16.1	a very hardcore, outdoorsy kind of a mountain man. And he really loved hunting and he really
0:26.5	loved the outdoors and kind of forced all of us kids to be outdoorsy kind of people too,
0:34.5	which is fine because we love it. Let's see, I'm 29 this year and I have three children
0:42.2	of my own and I'm married. I also have a landscaping business. Me and my husband try to
0:51.7	do as much with our children outdoors as we possibly can. We just, we really love the outdoors.
1:00.0	I came on Vic's show today because I have had a couple very strange encounters throughout my life.
1:10.3	And I'm going to go chronologically so I don't get mixed up with where I'm at telling my
1:16.3	story to you guys, but about eight years ago, me and my husband, it was before I had any children.
1:24.5	We were going hunting with our friend and we drove up to these little foothills up in the
1:32.3	mountains and we came to this forest and we were going through the forest and it's kind of a,
1:41.0	it's a big forest with big huge trees, but the trees aren't very close together. So there's
1:46.8	a lot of space underneath the trees. And we were hiking through this forest and I don't know what
1:57.6	kind of plants they are exactly, but we came to this big huge burrow basically and it's like a huge
2:06.8	fairy patch with tunnels through it that you can crawl into. Well, we were trying to hide from the
2:15.3	any of the animals. So we crawled into this burrow and me and my husband sat in there while
2:23.6	his friend hiked through the forest and into this big opening with trees.
2:32.1	And we had little tiny walkie talkies to talk to each other because we were on one side of a
2:39.6	big huge open field right in the middle of the forest and his friend was on the other side.
2:45.8	And we were sitting deep inside this burrow because we didn't want any of the animals to see us
2:51.6	because we weren't actually the ones hunting this year. It was his friend, so we were just trying
