On The Gist, Louis C.K. isn't as despised as Twitter makes it seem, which is why an eventual comeback is likely. In the interview, Maria Konnikova breaks down the science of fasting, and why it's currently associated with cancer treatments. Can it really help reduce cancer growth? And is it a useful practice for healthy individuals? Konnikova is a New Yorker contributor and the author of The Confidence Game. Lui, lui, lui, lui, lui, lui. Everyone on Twitter hates you.

0:52.0

So Lui CK is back with his rye brand of self-deprecating humor that we all found so hilarious until we connected it to a series of unass for masturbation sessions.

Well now, Lui is back. He did comedy at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

2:19.0

Second observation almost every single comic out there is going to support him a Pernod didn't and some others won't. But comics in general, they're a tribe and they hold some values above others.

2:32.0

And perhaps their greatest value is free expression. They also have a respect for genius and Louis was the most respected comic in America among other comics.

2:41.0

These comedians, they're involved in an art form and they view Louis as the height of achievement in their form. That means a lot to them. Also to them, Louis is a real person that they know mostly and that they can empathize with and his victims are more abstractions.
