She was a border patrol agent for six years, until one too many incidents of corruption and violence forced her out. Jenn Budd now dedicates herself to speaking about what she calls America's genocidal policies and its broken immigration system. Francesca sat down with her for an in-depth conversation to understand how the border became so militarized over the years, the extremist culture within Customs and Border Patrol steeped in racism, rape and corruption; and the ineffectiveness of both Republicans and Democrats to actually change. So I just felt like I couldn't stay quiet and live my life without saying,

no, this is wrong. What is going on good people of the ether? Welcome to the Bituation Room Podcast.

Once again, here we are, how are you?

I'm fine.

Mercury is out of retrograde and everything should be smooth sailing so call your X and you will not get

trapped. Okay? All right. Have we settled that?

Tight. We've got such a good show today? We have former Border Patrol officer turned

whistleblower turned activists and author Jen Bud joining me for the entire show. That's right. It's too good

of an interview to cut short. She's too big of a get. I'm too excited about the things we're going to get to talking about immigration policy,

you know, but from the NAFTA era through now the Biden era. And much has changed not enough that's really what is the

summation of it all but I'm very very curious as to what Jen thinks about current Biden policies. There's an excellent

article that came out from a former Biden staffer who tried to advocate for change

inside of the administration in this last year and has since left.

And so we'll get into all of that.

But if you're here, make sure you're liking that like button with your little clicky poos

and make sure you are giving this podcast five stars on iTunes that is how people

discover this show all right and everyone's on iTunes now because we've all left

Spotify behind.

Except if you're on Spotify, that's cool too.

Who am I to judge?

So yeah, so anyway, if you're on Twitch, thank you so much for being here.

If you haven't noticed, if you could tell,
