Hey folks, this coming podcast was recorded about two weeks ago. At that point, Richard thought he might have a few months to live. There was some potential experimental new drug that he might be going for, but he's just two week for it. He has gone down health-wise very quickly. He sent me a sort of breathless message in which basically it's his

last days. And so we've brought this podcast forward, but the content is incredibly powerful and

moving and challenging. And if you are moved to action by what he says, I would love us to

encourage him. Richard, if you're still around, brother, God bless you.

You're one of my heroes.

And, you know, I don't know what state of progression he

will be at but maybe his kids can read it to him if it's his last hours anyway I would just love him

to have the opportunity to have the joy of as he graduates to glory knowing even more of the

beautiful fruit through his life lived so recklessly generously.

Don't be afraid of poverty. Let money flow freely. I will let it flow in, but you must let it flow out.

I wanted to be brave. I wanted to be like that. I wanted to live without a safety now. I stopped paying into my pension fund. I set my lifestyle, and then I determined to give whatever the excess was away to invest it in the kingdom. I wanted to do that, but it was terrifying because I'm self-employed. At the beginning of a year, my diary is empty. And I felt Jesus saying to me, Will me will you give me until Christmas Richard if you're on a park bench at Christmas we can have a

conversation for 15 years I was fearing that park bench and I've got 15 of these paper diaries in my

bedroom to prove that you cannot out give God welcome everybody this is Simon Gilbo with Inspired.

Inspired, if you're new to us, it's all about meeting mates of mine from across all sorts of different ranges of life experience and hearing how their faith has carried them through.

And some stories are just, you know, there's endless glory stories in their summer, just surviving and absorbing a sucker punches of life.

But it's beautiful how God is working through this podcast in terms of bringing encouragement.

Because basically, I think most of us spend a lot of time being discouraged.
