Summary

Gen Z continues to discover old trends and claim them as their own. Now, the twentysomethings are ditching the apps and dating IRL. Which would seem like the obvious choice for most people, but not for these folks. Instead of hitting the bars after work, Gen Z is using office cubicles to find love. Although, after the whole Coldplay incident, this may not be the smartest choice.  Follow Kennedy on Twitter: @KennedyNation   Kennedy Now Available on YouTube:  https://link.chtbl.com/kennedyytp Follow on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@kennedy_foxnews Join Kennedy for Happy Hour on Fridays! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWlNiiSXX4BNUbXM5X8KkYbDepFgUIVZj Learn more about your ad choices. Well, hello and welcome to this episode of Kennedy Saves the World.

0:13.4

So if you talk to people who are dating right now, they will tell you apps are really,

0:18.5

really, really, really tough.

0:20.3

I was talking with one of my co-workers

0:23.2

here at Fox News, and she was going on a date. And, you know, the app dating culture is just a

0:32.3

churn. It is a constant buffet, which, you know, at some point in your life, that might sound

0:36.8

attractive. But

0:37.8

when you really just want someone fun and interesting to kind of hang out with long term and

0:43.4

be monogamous with as little pressure as possible for either one of you, it's exhausting

0:50.0

going through the cycle of swipe after swipe, date after date, nothing sticks.

0:57.2

Everyone has their eye on the door looking for someone else to come in because relationships

1:02.3

and hookups and romance all feel very disposable, which is interesting because everyone

1:07.7

pretty much wants the same thing.

1:10.2

But they have all given themselves license to enter into this kind of rough contract where people are disposable.

1:19.9

And you're looking for something either momentary or transitory that just isn't long term.

1:27.4

But if you talk to anyone on dating apps, they're like, it's so hard for me to find

1:32.6

someone, but you're all doing pretty much the same thing, which is ghosting each other.

1:36.8

And I think it's really tough to try and start a relationship.

1:41.3

But it's not to say that apps aren't valuable because I think most of the people I know

1:45.7

who are in relationships right now, most of them, I would say a majority over 50% meet on

1:51.9

dating apps, you know, as opposed to the traditional way of running into someone or being

1:57.1

set up or meeting someone at work.
