My information these last days, Jeff, is that the Hamas battalions are active again in some

fashion in North Gaza, re-infiltrating. Though a million people are more evacuated, there are 100,000 or more still

there. And the Hamas find it easy to change from civilian clothes to combat clothes and back again so the

the idea is drawn again to North Gaza which looks like a

wasteland however the focus is on Con Yun, where I'm told within these last days, a major command center

was captured, something much bigger than they saw in North Gaza, probably where the war was

conducted during these last months. Now Raffa. Raffa is the

village that split in half in the south of Gaza, half Gaza, half Egypt. And the offensive is underway with one or two million people

above ground. In addition, it can be that it's compromising the Egyptians because tunnels flowing from Gaza into Sinai

may be the critical node that Hamas is used to resupply itself and maintain its ability to get away. That will

compromise but we're dealing with war fighting now. What is your measure of the

idea of advance in Gaza? Is it Wachamole or are they making genuine front line advance?

Well, they're making genuine front line and geographic advance, but the problem we're running into I think it's two things.

One, the further south they get because they're displaced now about 1.8 million people from Gaza from a total population of 2.2, they've compressed more and more refugees in a smaller and smaller place in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, closely in the environs of Woffam. Now, they're now going to conduct heavy... the dramatic civilian casualties just because of the density of refugees and the Egyptians

I think are very likely to open the border and allow those refugees to flee into

Egypt. So that will complicate the military operation to conduct it,

and that will also result in massive civilian casualties

which has more and more isolated Israel around the world.

And secondly, though they've been geographically successful

above ground, there's a question of, are they geographic, possessful under the ground? Because
