He is the senior fellow of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy's.

He keeps the Long War Journal. He also makes Generation Jihad the Pod-Gag. the most recently turned on an article written Foreign Affairs magazine by David Petraeus and others,

entitled Israel's War regime change is repeating America's mistakes, but Israel can still learn from America's successes.

My challenge bill is to understand the technical language used by General Petraeus and

his colleagues.

Regarding the Gaza conflict as counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency,

what are the differences that those words mean and how does that match my

understanding of urban warfare? Thank you. Yes John I mean you know the real

mistake here there's several mistakes here in this article.

I challenge General Petraeus to tell us what exactly which American success is.

He'll point to the US surge.

I look at Iraq today and say,

don't tell me the surge is a success.

He should have judged that American political leadership

was unwilling to see the search through.

It was put through the Obama administration that was very clear that it was going to withdraw

troops anywhere from a year and a half to two years after the surge was begun.

They had to basically twist President Obama's arm in order to get him to do a surge.

But, you know, the fundamental problem I have with this article is that Israel is not in a

insurgency situation.

Gaza is not an insurgency in situation.
