And you've been writing about genocide

in the context of Gaza.

You wrote a piece in the Guardian actually about this a few weeks ago,

which had a very bad faith response to it,

largely erasing the fact that you yourself is really in Jewish.

Can you just start by explaining?

Because a lot of people would say, as horrible as maybe we might think

what happening in Gaza is, genocide is an inappropriate term

and it's hyperbolic to use that term.

So what do we mean by genocide?

And why would it we talk about in the context of Gaza?
