I'm John Bachelor withor with Colonel Jeff McCausen, CBS News, retired U.S. Army artillery

man, Diamond Six Leadership and Strategy, as well as a visiting professor at Dickinson College. An event in New York

City these last hours that has upset the NYPD a deal and I asked Jeff about

how he served in the US Army honorably and a US Army is a centerpiece of his

learning West Point being the beginning of it. The 107th Regiment part of the New York National Guard, has a monument in Central Park.

Part of this conversation is the 7th Regiment known as the silk stocking regiment.

This is the first war of the 20th century. They were deployed in

1917- 1918 and fought at the 2nd Epe and the 2nd sum. They were discharged in April

1919 and a grateful city in the 1927 I believe raised a monument in Central Park and it was in some fashion

smeared by protesters having nothing to do with the first war or why those men

served honorably. Jeff, we have a minute here. What is your thinking? What is the Army's

thinking when things like this happen?
