forces in Jordan guarding against ISIS. We now turn to Gaza itself, the conflict nearly 10 months old.

Malcolm, the last time we talked, Mohammedi was believed KIA, but it wasn't confirmed.

Can you confirm it in what significance?

It's of great significance and it appears to be confirmed.

The Israelis hit a location where he was located in southern Gaza on

Saturday. They were targeting him. He is the leader of the Kossam Brigades. This is the seventh time that Israel has tried to eliminate him.

He's the leader of Hamas's military wing and one of the architects of the

October 7th attack on Israel. he's the second most senior figure after

sin wire of Hamas in Gaza. So the leader of Rafa Salama, if you remember, the leader of Rafas Sala, if you remember, the leader of the Hamas forces was also targeted in the attack and eliminated.

This is at first they couldn't confirm the report. They used these 2,000 pound bombs in a very designated area. It's sort of isolated and they hit exactly on the building and no one has seen this was seen exiting and now they seem to have

confirmed that one of Israel's most wanted or was eliminated he has been a leader in the efforts against Israel for many years and the bombs reduced it to a smoldering crater so it's unlikely that anybody walked out of there.

And the confidence is being reflected.

There were videos and photos of the target house and nearby. and

nearby locations. So the belief is that he was hit.

This is a big blow to the Hamas infrastructure and coming with the double success of that raid.

We're together with the elimination of a lot of the lower level leadership
