When last we left the runaways, Apex the Wildman, Calvin the mechanic, Louise the scavenger

and Cynthia the nurse, they had infiltrated the St. Louis science center, a thought to

be long forgotten facility, somehow that still brimmed with mechanical life after all

these years. Inside they saw a working machinery, metal men who moved about patrolling for intruders

like themselves. As they explored through the various buildings and exhibits they found

themselves marching to the top of the science center to its domed theater, it was here

that their luck ran out and they were spotted by some of the patrolling synths. However,

as they explained their situation, the metal men seemed oddly receptive to them, leading

them to their leader, a synth adorned in an institute lab coat who called himself Dr.

Howell. He welcomed them to his facility and began to explain a few things to Cynthia

on how she might be able to split her personalities into two separate bodies. However, they let

Lucid, they might be a coarser in the area, who's on the hunt. A fact that Dr. Howell was

So as you, the last thing you were left with when you were talking with Dr. Howell, you

explained that there was a coarser in the area. And if it were possible for his eyes

to go wide, they probably would have, and he sort of leans back a bit in his posture

straightens and looks rather... unnerved now.
