Gaslighting is really designed to perpetuate this idea that you should not be able to

trust what you think or to trust what you feel. And think about it. How how insidious is that

for someone to undermine your ability to be confident in your perceptions of the world and perceptions of yourself?

It's pretty malevolent to think that there are people who get off on confusing people to that point.
