You know, we talk about the rapture of the church a lot, but there really is a reason for the rapture. And we're going to discuss that reason.

Actually, it's many, many reasons, but there's one main reason for the rapture of the church

here to talk about this very important

subject with me today, Bob Ulrich.

Bob, our October magazine features the reason for the rapture.

That's the title.

We actually have three writers who've written in the October magazine, you, Tommy Ice,

the late Jack Kelly, who've all written really critically important

studies that really answer a lot of the objections to the rapture. You know, the R-word has become

almost something you can't use without getting a lot of pushback from people these days. Many

of them Christians in the church who really don't understand the reason for the rapture.

You're going to explain it today.

Well, the reason for the rapture is a rational approach to explaining why the rapture, we believe, takes place before the tribulation.

What it is, what exactly precedes the rapture of the church

and what does not precede the rapture of the church. And let's begin by going back to 1988.

And I have a point to make on this, Bob, because we all remember the little white book with red ink,

tiny booklet called 88 reasons why the rapture of the church will occur in 1988.

Dr. Edgar Wisenant wrote that book.

And I think he wrote it in all sincerity, and he thought that he had the reasons, 88 reasons, why that rapture would occur

in 1988. Why 1988? Because that was exactly 40 years since the birth of national
