Did you ever really thought about light, we're going to talk about it today.

In studio with me, here at Prophecy Watchers is Bob Ulrich.

Hi, Bob.

Gary, I'm here to get an education.

Well, we're going to talk about light because I've written an article about light in the

March issue of the Prophecy Watcher.

And somebody might say, well, why write an article about light?

Well, first of all, the Bible is all about light from cover to cover, the light of the

world.

It seems to me someone called themselves the light of the world. His name was Jesus.

Absolutely. But I wanted to start today by answering that question. Did you ever really think about light?

Because we live in a world that is illuminated artificially.

Going back to Westinghouse and Thomas Edison and the general electric company, they all had these big battles when they were first founded about how cities were going to be lighted by electricity.

And it was quite an ordeal for two

or three decades, but suddenly all the cities of the world are illuminated. You've seen those

orbiting photos taken from space satellites showing how the world is illuminated at night. All of the thoroughfares

are lit up, the cities are lit up, everything else is pitch black. Think for a moment

if the lights went out.

Yeah, when I was in college a long, long time ago, I went to a little Christian college in

Cedarville, Ohio, and I can remember

driving through the cornfields on a night where there wasn't a lot of illumination from the

moon and turning the lights off in the car and not being able to see my hand in front of my face.
