Gary, are we in a time on this earth? Would you say it's a normal time or is it chaotic?

Well, that seems like such a simple question to answer. It's actually a very complex question to answer.

And I would begin by saying, I have come to believe that we're in the last days.

That specific phrase applies to the time in which we're now living. And there were a number

of qualities assigned to the last days, and I think we're seeing them in rapidly unfolding

succession. So these qualities, do the qualities point towards

a chaotic time or does it point to a time of peace and safety? What do they point to? And where

do these qualities come from? What biblical passage are you talking about? Well, first of all,

and foremost, I would say that prophecy, the prophecy of the last days,

calls for tumult, increasing tumult.

It calls for the growing power of evil.

But there's something fascinating.

One of my favorite passages in one sense at least, one of my favorite passages of scripture, is given by Paul in 2 Timothy chapter 3.

And I'm going to open my Bible and let's discuss this because it exactly answers your question.

Paul's writing to Timothy, who of course is a young pastor and he's being advised on the church and what the church

would face and Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3 1 this know also that in the last days

perilous time shall come and we all read this maybe a hundred times and following this

is a list of qualities, of evil characteristics.

Men shall be lovers of their own selves. We see that. Self-centeredness.

Yeah. Covetous. We see that. Boasters. There are a lot of boasters around today. Proud.

Blastphemers. That means to reject the gospel. And we see a rejection of the gospel

today in the everywhere.
