Gary, good to be here. We've got a great, great subject to talk about today. I call it myths of the tribulation.

So much confusion in the world of Christianity today. Are we in the tribulation now, as some people

are saying? Not at all. In fact, the tribulation has a distinct and definite beginning, as

given in Daniel 927, where the man of sin, who is called the coming prince, confirms a covenant

with the many, that is the leaders of Israel

for one week, one Shavua, one seven-year period.

And there's absolutely no doubt about the fact that this involves Israel and not the church.

Because Daniel says, he announces his subject in Daniel 924. He says 70 weeks are determined upon by people and by holy city. Who is that? That's Israel. It's Jerusalem. To finish the transgression to make an end of sins. That's number one. In other words, the tribulation is to

bring sin to a complete close, to judge sin completely in God's people and God's holy city. That's

Israel in Jerusalem. Number two, to make reconciliation for iniquity, that is the sins of Israel, must be reconciled,

which has not happened yet, and number three, to bring in everlasting righteousness.

And so you have the reasons for the tribulation and the people to whom the tribulation pertains,

given right there in Daniel 924, you skip down a little bit

and you find the Antichrist who confirms the covenant with the leaders of Israel for one week,

that is one Shavua or one seven-year period. So you're given the length of the tribulation

and you are given the people to whom it pertains and the church

simply is not listed there at all.

Amen. Now you go all the way back to the Israelites before they entered the promised

land and Moses is actually talking to his people and he tells them if you're

unfaithful to God you're going to be cast away to the four corners of the earth.

But in the latter days you'll be regathered and refined and purified.
