0:34.4	You know, that's actually one of the nicer emails we've received lately about the doctrine of the rapture. Explain to me Gary why people are so angry about us
0:45.0	simply teaching what we believe the Bible teaches clearly about the return of Jesus Christ
0:51.5	back to earth for his church. It creates such arguments, such debate, such consternation in people's minds.

1:01.9	Actually, Bob, it's easier to understand if you go back to the very foundational days of the church
1:07.1	just after Pentecost, the disciples had a number of conversations among themselves
1:12.5	concerning law versus grace. And on the law side, you know, the law always gives you the hard case
1:19.5	version of salvation. You do this or you die. You keep these 613 commandments or you're not going
1:26.6	to be in God's favor. Grace on the other hand says
1:30.3	that basically there are two laws, love God and love your neighbor. And the 613 commandments
1:37.3	are all based around those two premises. Law on the one hand is strict. Grace on the other hand is something that is almost
1:48.7	beyond human understanding, being totally forgiven of your sins, past, present, and future,
1:55.9	and promise that you will be taken up, glorified, and be in the Lord's family forevermore without having
2:02.9	to go through judgment. And I think that is the meat of it. It's very difficult for some people
2:08.3	to accept the wonderful glory of God's grace. Gary, when did we go from the law to the age of grace?
2:16.1	When did that happen? I believe that it happened on the morning of Pentecost. The disciples stayed up all night,
2:23.3	Acts chapter 2, when the sun rose the next morning just at dawning, the Holy Spirit fell upon
2:30.3	them. They were indwelt by the Holy Spirit and they proclaimed the birth of the church.
