Hi, Gary Stearman of Prophecy Watchers. Today we're going to do something that I think is going to talk about the rapture of the church. My favorite subject, and we have with us

0:36.2

at Prophecy Watchers, a gentleman whom I think you're going to get to know and love. And his name is Mando Gonzalez. Mando, welcome to Prophecy Watch.

0:47.5

Thank you, Gary. Good to be here. Now, you are a pastor teacher and you have taught about the rapture and I know from conversations

0:56.2

that you really think this is a kind of a centerpiece in Christian teaching.

1:01.5

I totally agree. When I think of the rapture, it's it brings joy to my heart. It's what

1:06.7

I'm looking for. And unfortunately, you know, not a lot of people know it or believe it or hear

1:12.3

about it and it's worth the discussion. I mean this is this is why we study prophecy and it's

1:17.4

something that Jesus told us to be aware of so to me it's great.

1:21.1

And you know it's rapture and resurrection are two almost interchangeable terms. We talk about the resurrection

1:31.3

of Jesus Christ and there's the story about the stone being rolled away and we have angels

1:40.6

that superintend this operation but the story that everybody remembers is when Peter looks in and sees the grave clothing

1:50.5

of Jesus empty, just he's gone.

1:55.2

And it hit him like a ton of bricks.

1:57.8

You can tell, by the way, the Bible, the scripture is written.

2:07.7

Look, the clothes are still here, but the Lord's gone. And you know what he was thinking,

2:24.7

and what all of us think. And I'm looking forward to having a similar effect acting upon my body because this body is going to wear out. At some point, who knows when, I am going to be lowered into the earth and my hope is

2:33.3

for resurrection. That's the Christian hope is for resurrection. Various churches

2:39.0

teach that hope in different ways, but we try to get active with the idea of the rapture. In other

2:47.0

words, we don't leave it back in some closet somewhere. We talk about it all the time.

2:51.4

Because to me, it's a wonderful, wonderful thing to have right out in front of our theology, right?

2:58.4

No, I totally agree. I mean, when you look at what God is telling us to do and watch for,

3:03.2

and as we know from 1st Thessalonians 4 that Paul does, he tells us not to be ignorant.
