The calves were fantastic offensively in this game.

Donovan Mitchell, 42 points, James Hardin, 26 points, 22 of them in the first half. He was awesome. Evan Mowgli, perfect 8 of 8 from the field in this game. But defensively, the calves are not good enough right now. They're not playing defense at anything that even comes close to resembling a championship level, and that's really their problem, because as we saw in this game, and as we have seen in several other games recently, when the calves are clicking offensively, there are very few, if any, teams capable of slowing them down when James Hardin has it going on, when Donovan Mitchell has it going on, all that stuff. Like it's great, but defensively right now, they're not playing well enough. And Kenny Atkinson had a lot to say about that after the game. He talked about the defensive effort, the buy-in, the compete level, just all those things, not being where they need to be. And that showed itself in this game against an Orlando magic team. That's good, but certainly has been struggling and give the magic credit, they played well in this game. But ultimately, the Cavs need to be a lot better defensively and they'll have an opportunity
