Hey, my friends, it's Matt. This is the 10 minute Bible Hour podcast. And guess what I didn't do today?

No, seriously, yes, this is going to be fun. What didn't I do today? Well, now you're just being

ridiculous. You're saying funny stuff that of course I didn't do. Of course I didn't do that, Mike.

Okay, good one, Chad. No, I didn't do that either. Keep it within the realm of things that might actually happen. Come on, what didn't I do today? Okay, I'm just going to pop the bubble here. I didn't work out. I didn't lift weights. Is it because I couldn't or didn't have time? Oh, no, they were right there. I walked past them like three or four

times. I was even wearing workout clothes. I could have done it. Do you know why I didn't do it?

Because they're heavy. And I didn't feel like it. They had other things that felt better that I could

do. So I chose those instead. I might still go workout later.

I think it's important. I like to try to be healthy. It's just sometimes I don't want to.

And then I don't do it. That's a funny thing when I go to movies. And for you ladies who are

listening, this might seem completely foreign to you. I mean, I don't really

understand the social mechanics of what it's like when a lady watches like an attractive,

or well put together, a super athletic lady in a movie. I don't know, like, if you're jealous or you

aspire to that or you just, you just don't care or what i don't know but i know for dudes

when we see a guy who's clearly put in the work and he's doing cool things we wish we could do

physically athletically he's got good character in a show doesn't make us jealous it's just

there's kind of this sense of like, yeah, good job, man.

I got to get it together. I could go a little harder. I need to discipline up. But when I say that,

I'm always also eating hot tamales. So make of that what you will. There's a guy in the Bible

who demonstrated tremendous self-discipline. Maybe this is even

somebody who Paul had in view in Galatians chapter 5 when he's talking about self-control.

And in this list of the fruit of the spirit, I mean, I would bet that Paul had somebody in view who really exemplified each of these fruit of the spirit as he's going through the whole thing.
