Let's start with Jeff Sessions yesterday.

The official debate continued.

Without Elizabeth Warren, of course, She was silenced for having read

attempted to read out loud on the floor, a letter written back in 1986 by the great

Coretta Scott King, telling why Jeff Sessions should not be confirmed as a federal judge. And in fact, the Senate,

again, Republican-controlled Senate at the time, listened to her and others and rejected Sessions

because of his race has passed. Well, it was not okay for a woman to read that letter,

but yesterday several men did line up to read that letter,

Bernie, parts of that letter, Bernie Sanders, Sherrod Brown, I'm sure there were others,

and Tom Udall.

Whites had been using the absentee process to their advantage for years without incident,

and then when blacks, realizing its strength, began to use it with success,

criminal investigations were begun.

In these investigations, Mr. Sessions, as U.S. attorney exhibited an eagerness to bring to trial

and convict three leaders of the Perry County

Civil League, including Albert Turner, despite evidence clearly demonstrating their innocence of any

wrongdoing.

That famous case where he accused these three of breaking the law and all they were doing

were registering African Americans to vote,

just doing their civic duty.

In the end, though, not enough.
