I'm Mama Jules, and today let's head over to Georgia for a trial that completed last week,

where a former state patrol officer was

found guilty of killing two teenagers in a high-speed crash back in 2015. Yeah, it took 10 years for

justice to be served. And those 10 years, well, they were filled with a bit of a wild ride. Let's start with the night of the

accident. It's a rainy and slick Saturday evening on September 26, 2015. It's getting a little

late for four teenagers out on a weekend night. By 1130 that evening, they were headed to grab

some food at a local McDonald's, this in a kind of a small

teen car, a 2005 Nissan Centra. 18-year-old Dylan Wall is driving and wearing his seat belt. In the

front passenger seat is his best friend, 17-year-old Benjamin Finkin. Chatting and laughing in the backseat are 17-year-old

Kylie Lindsay and 16-year-old Bella Chinchilla, friends who attended the same church and the same high

school. Now, Dylan, who is sober, eased the centra into the left-hand turn lane on this country

highway that is filled with hills

and valleys. It's a complicated intersection because leading into the left turn is a steep hill and

lots of trees. It's rainy, it's late, and the distance that Dylan can see is limited due to that

steep hill. As Dylan eases the

centra across the oncoming traffic lane, the right side of the small car is slammed into by a Georgia

state patrol Dodge Charger. It's being driven by state police officer, 26-year-old A.J. Scott.

Now, Scott had tried to break. far too late, but data from the Dodge

charger explain the mathematics of the crash. Just seconds before the impact, Scott was speeding.
