Summary

Welcome to New England Legends From the Vault – FtV Episode 112 – Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger stroll through the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge in Limestone, Maine, in search of the Vampire House, a Cold War relic leftover from the time when nuclear weapons were stored here at Loring Air Force Base. The Vamp House is a building with secrets: there’s legends of an accident that may have left monsters trapped inside. On this adventure we bring along a former military police officer who was there in the 1980s. It turns out with this legend, when there’s smoke, there’s also fire. 0:46.0	the birds, that pretty pond right over there. We're the only two people that I can see in this
0:50.9	remote park today. But I feel a little silly dressed like this.
0:56.4	Don't you think we're taking COVID-19 precautions a little too far?
0:59.5	Well, of course, we wear masks when we're out among the public, right?
1:02.7	But the reason we're wearing hazmat suits today isn't because of COVID.
1:07.3	Then what should I be worried about?
1:09.3	We're worried about something even more deadly if you get
1:11.9	too close. I'm talking about radioactivity. Wait, radioactivity? We're in Limestone, Maine, less than
1:18.7	five miles from the Canadian border, searching for a building with some deep, dark secrets.
1:24.9	1.2 megatons of secrets, as a matter of fact, this is a building that may hold monsters,
1:30.7	which is why locals for decades have called this place the vampire house.
