My name is Tom Lang, and we're a pissed off bunch here tonight because Florida State laid a bit of an egg. Miami was the better team. Miami was the more physical team. The score at the end is not

indicative of what we watch for three plus quarters. Gene, you give Florida State credit for

obviously fighting to the bitter end, but not much more than that, at least in my book. How do you feel about what you saw tonight? Yeah, I know. This is a weird one because, I mean, first of all, we can accept Miami's a good team. They're a top 10 team. Maybe they're going to compete for a national championship. I don't know. They are a complete team, experienced quarterback, really good offensive line. Those two stud defensive ends, great running back. So, yeah, I mean, to me, I don't think Florida State's that different than Miami. The problem is, let's start with three turnovers in the game. So there's a fine line. When you do the things Florida State did, especially in that first half, you're going to lose to a quality team. Even if you are a quality team, and I think FSU is in a bad position when they fall behind and they're not dictating to. It's kind of a weird dynamic. To me, it's a three turnovers you had. I mean, just killed FSU to none. you had, I mean, Jacob Rizzley on a plate ended a drive when he jumped on a guy to backup. And I don't know why he was in there, too, because it was wearing the injury reports. Maybe we can get into that later. He was a backup. That killed a drive, probably cautious some points. And let's even start. And again, I don't want it. Officials suck. We know it. through the ACC. But to start out a drive, when you're down near the goal line and Deuce gets mugged,

clearly an over-the-top PI penalty not called, cost you four points right off the bat.

You know, a lot of stuff like that.

Again, it sounds like we're making excuses.

I'm not.

Miami was a better team deserved to win tonight.

But to me, everybody's going to say, oh, FSU was so dominated. Well, yeah, they were. But when you do all these stupid things early on, it gets a good team. You're in big trouble. And FSU was in big trouble all night because of all that stuff. But I didn't like some of the play.

I thought they were a little too tricky.
